A few years back I made an 8-minute film called How to Go on a Man Date. It's a mock-educational social etiquette film critiquing male gender roles (i.e. making fun of straight men). Perhaps you saw it at one of these festivals. If you'd like to watch it again (or for the first time), buy the Seattle Women in Film DVD or check it out on Netflix.
